WMC-TV reported Monday the Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers found that E.H. Ford Mortuary Services violated state law by not changing the lining.Former employee Jeremy Harris filed a complaint against the home in January, saying he'd been ordered to reuse one casket for more than 20 services or visitations in less than six months, without changing the lining at any point.The home's director, Edmund Ford Sr., said the caskets were rented as part of cremation services. He said the process gave families with limited means an option to receive more dignified services.Residents sue over plan to build tiny homes for homelessNASHVILLE — A village of more than 20 small homes planned in Tennessee's capital city for homeless individuals has concerned residents who are now suing over the project.WTVF-TV reported on Monday that residents have filed a lawsuit against Nashville's Zoning Appeals board and local United Methodist Church over the project. The 220-square-foot houses are planned to be on the grounds of Glencliff United Methodist Church.In May the board approved a building permit for the project, citing federal and state land-use laws that protect places of worship from zoning rules. Six caskets desecrated in Woodlawn Cemetery mausoleum

Groundskeepers discovered the desecration about 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery on Webster Ave. near E. 233rd St. in Woodlawn Heights. Cops were trying to determine how the creeps got into the mausoleum and if anything was taken from the caskets, which were pulled out of their sleeves on the wall. Authorities said it would take at least two people to move the caskets. Its hallowed grounds are also a tourist destination, due to the number of famous people buried there.
